Walk into any Malaysian pharmacy in 2024, and the women's wellness shelf is full. Whitening serums from Korea. Hair vitamins from the US. Probiotics from Australia. Glutathione capsules with cartoon packaging and no ingredient list.
Almost all of them have one thing in common: the formula was designed somewhere else, for somebody else. Then translated, repackaged, and shipped here. The dosage was calibrated for a 70kg American woman. The capsule size was sized for someone who wasn't planning to take it daily through Ramadan fasting. The ingredient claims were written before anyone thought about halal-certified sourcing.
We started Dr.Ann because Malaysian women deserved a brand that did the opposite — started from her body, her climate, her diet, and her questions, then sourced the ingredients to match.

We partner with international suppliers like Mitsubishi Life Sciences (Japan) for Glutathione and KSM-66® (India) for Ashwagandha. We publish purity percentages on the bottle. If we can't back a claim with data, we don't make the claim.

Our formulations and packaging are calibrated for Malaysia's heat and humidity. The bottle you open in month six is as effective as the day we shipped it — tested under tropical conditions, not Californian air-con.

When we formulate a Dr.Ann product, the question we ask is not "What's the cheapest ingredient that lets us put the word 'glutathione' on the bottle?" — it's "What's the most studied, most transparent version of this ingredient in the world, and can we afford it?" If we can afford it, we use it. If we can't, we don't make the product yet.
OPITAC® Glutathione
High-concentration, non-GMO oral Glutathione, produced via Mitsubishi Life Sciences' proprietary circular yeast extraction process — the patented form used in clinically researched oral supplements globally.
Most "glutathione" supplements use raw material from undisclosed suppliers with no published purity data. We name the patented ingredient (OPITAC®), name the supplier (Mitsubishi), and publish the purity on the bottle.
KSM-66® Ashwagandha
The most clinically studied Ashwagandha extract in the world — 20+ peer-reviewed human studies. Full-spectrum root extract, no leaves, produced via a proprietary green-chemistry process that preserves the natural bioactive ratio.
Most Ashwagandha supplements use leaf-and-root powder or lower-grade extracts. KSM-66® is the gold standard, and we pay for it.
OptiMSM® + Biotin
The world's purest MSM, quadruple-distilled. Used in our Biotin + OptiMSM® Hair Architect formula alongside biotin to support visibly stronger strands.
MSM purity varies wildly between suppliers. OptiMSM® publishes its purity, its manufacturing process, and its safety data. Most generic MSM doesn't.

Raw material audit
Before any ingredient enters our supply chain, we audit the supplier. Certificates of Analysis, purity reports, country of origin, halal status, and shelf-life data — verified against the supplier's published specs and independent third-party testing where available.
Formulation review
Every formula is reviewed by our R&D team — supported by YOHOPOWER's formulation scientists in Taiwan — for dosage appropriateness (calibrated for Malaysian body weight, not US averages), ingredient interactions, and Malaysian regulatory compatibility.
Manufacturing under GMP
Production runs in GMP-certified facilities in Malaysia and Taiwan. Capsule shells, fillers, and excipients are pre-qualified. Every batch is barcoded for traceability — if you ever ask which batch you bought, we can tell you which supplier shipment that bottle came from.
Lab-tested before release
100% of batches go through pre-release lab testing for ingredient potency, microbial safety, and heavy-metal limits. Anything that fails the test doesn't ship. We've had batches fail. We don't talk about them publicly because they didn't reach customers — that's the point.

Every Dr.Ann formula has a feedback loop built into it. Customer-support replies, post-purchase surveys, Judge.me reviews, and direct messages — they all feed back into formulation reviews. When 200 women tell us a capsule size is too large to swallow during Ramadan, we shrink it on the next batch. When ten women ask about stacking two products, we publish a stack guide.
We're working on what comes next — new formulas, deeper community programmes, and a longer ingredient transparency report we'll publish annually. The brand belongs to the women who use it; we just keep the lights on.

Yes. Dr.Ann is the Malaysian women's wellness brand of YOHOPOWER Group, our parent group based in Taiwan. Our Kuala Lumpur team handles formulation calibration, customer support, marketing, and Malaysian regulatory work. Every product in our range is built for the Malaysian woman — her body, her climate, her halal requirements, her right to ingredient transparency. We answer customer messages in Bahasa Melayu, English, and 中文.
Who owns Dr.Ann?
Dr.Ann is owned and operated by YOHOPOWER Group, a Taiwan-based health-supplement group founded in 2010 with over 3,000 retail points across Asia. YOHOPOWER provides the R&D, formulation science, and supply-chain backbone behind the products. The Dr.Ann brand, team, and customer relationships are based in Malaysia — built specifically for the Malaysian women's wellness market.
Is Dr.Ann legit?
Yes. We're a registered business in Malaysia operating drann.my, with verified storefronts on Shopee Malaysia and Lazada Malaysia. Our ingredients are sourced from named, internationally recognised suppliers — Mitsubishi Life Sciences, KSM-66®, OptiMSM®, Cran-Max®, Slendacor® — with published purity data. Every batch is lab-tested before release. Our growing community of verified Malaysian buyers can be cross-referenced with reviews on Shopee, Lazada, and Judge.me.
Is Dr.Ann KKM approved?
Our ingredients are halal-certified at the raw-material level — verified against supplier Certificates of Analysis (no animal-derived ingredients, no pork derivatives, no alcohol; capsules are vegan-friendly). Product-level KKM / MAL certification is in progress; we'll update every product page and this page the moment it lands. In the meantime, the supporting facts (halal ingredients, vegan capsule, alcohol-free) are unchanged — only the certification claim is restricted until KKM approval is granted.
Where is Dr.Ann manufactured?
The Dr.Ann range is manufactured in GMP-certified facilities in Malaysia and Taiwan, depending on the product line. We're progressively bringing more of the range under Malaysian manufacturing. Raw materials are sourced globally from named, internationally recognised suppliers — Mitsubishi Life Sciences (Japan), KSM-66® Ashwagandha (India), OptiMSM® / Bergstrom Nutrition (USA), Cran-Max® (USA), Slendacor® (USA) — with published purity and Certificate of Analysis data. Every batch is barcoded for traceability, and we can identify the manufacturing batch and supplier shipment behind any bottle a customer buys.
How is Dr.Ann different from other supplement brands in Malaysia?
Three things, in order of how much they matter:
Named suppliers, published purity. We tell you exactly which supplier provided the raw material (Mitsubishi, KSM-66®, OptiMSM®) and publish the purity percentage. Most local brands don't.

Why is Dr.Ann more expensive than some other supplements?
Because we pay for the ingredients we name. Mitsubishi Life Sciences Glutathione, KSM-66® Ashwagandha, OptiMSM® — these are the most studied, most transparent versions of each ingredient in the world. They cost more than generic alternatives. We pay the difference, and the bottle price reflects it. We don't promise the cheapest bottle on the shelf; we promise the most honest one.
Can I trust the ingredient claims on Dr.Ann products?
Yes — and you don't need to take our word for it. Every product page on drann.my publishes the supplier name, the ingredient grade, and the purity percentage. The supplier names (Mitsubishi Life Sciences, KSM-66® / Ixoreal Biomed, OptiMSM® / Bergstrom Nutrition) are real companies whose Certificates of Analysis are auditable. We also lab-test 100% of batches before release — if you ever want to verify a specific batch, our customer support team can confirm the test report for the batch your bottle came from.

Is Dr.Ann safe for daily use?
For our supplement range — yes, at the recommended daily dosage on each bottle, for healthy adults. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, on prescription medication, or managing a medical condition (diabetes, thyroid, autoimmune, etc.), consult your physician before adding any supplement to your routine — including ours. For the Feminine Wash, daily use is fine for most people; if you have a diagnosed sensitivity, start with every-other-day and observe.
